Donate now so no child has to wait for trauma counselling
Hannah*, Jack* and Rosie*, are victims of the most terrible tragedy you could imagine. One afternoon, the three siblings waited and waited for their mum to pick them up from school. But she never came. They never saw her again.
While the children were at school, their mum was murdered by their father. In one shocking moment, their lives were turned upside down. You can see why Hannah, Jack and Rosie needed trauma counselling as soon as possible.
Australian Childhood Foundation were able to provide specialist therapy and help the siblings start to heal. But we could only do this thanks to our supporters. And right now, your support is needed more than ever.
There’s a crisis of family violence in Australia. Children are often the forgotten victims when their mother is killed at the hands of her partner or ex-partner. Last year, one woman was killed by a male partner or ex-partner every week. Children are the ones left behind—hurting, grieving, confused. You could make sure they don’t have to wait for trauma counselling.
Please give now, so there’s a counsellor ready for the many children like Hannah, Jack and Rosie—whose lives have been shattered by family violence. Thank you.
